Following on from yesterdays great effort of 74/75, Jack shot a solid 24 to be on 98/100 to continue to jointly lead the Junior World Championship in Trap.
In an earlier squad, the young shooter from Kuwait who was tied with Jack for the championship posted a 24 in his last round to finish on a total of 122 leaving Jack in the uneviable position of knowing that a perfect score would win it, 24 would force a shootoff and 23 would leave him in silver position.
Not one to back down from the challenge, Jack shot brilliantly and went into his last 5 targets 1 target down. Unfortunately his third to last target slipped away resulting in a 23 & a total of 121 and the Silver Medal.
Not only did Jack win the Silver Medal, he also shot his International Olympic MQS to qualify him for the NZ Olympic team for London next year.
Congratulations Jack!
